DEBKAfile March 11, 2014, 10:39 PM (IST) Saudi Arabia demands that neighboring Qatar cut its ties with Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood, close its Al Jazeera global television channel and expel local branches of the US Brookings Institution and Rand Corporation think tans. If Qatar fails to comply with this demand, Saudi Arabia threatens to blockade the emirate by air, land and sea.
